Five interconnected work packages delivering lasting impact — from a national skills audit to an open repository of digital construction teaching resources.
A comprehensive, evidence-based audit mapping digital capability gaps, software access barriers, and curriculum limitations across Nepal's architectural education institutions.
A comprehensive, evidence-based audit mapping digital capability gaps, software access barriers, and curriculum limitations across Nepal's architectural education institutions — producing a nationally significant baseline dataset. The audit employs mixed methods: structured surveys of students and faculty across at least four institutions, in-depth interviews with industry stakeholders and professional bodies, and benchmarking against UK, EU, and South-East Asian comparators. Findings will be gender-disaggregated and analysed through an EDI lens. ss

The design and pilot of a Digital Construction Skills Passport — a portable, verifiable framework for students and practitioners.
The design and pilot of a Digital Construction Skills Passport — a portable, verifiable framework for students and practitioners to document, evidence, and share digital competencies recognised by both partner institutions and industry bodies. The pilot will involve a cohort of final-year students and early-career practitioners across two institutions, testing the passport's fitness for purpose, employer recognition, and portability.
A publicly accessible, open-licensed repository of all project resources designed to serve Nepal's wider community of practice.
A publicly accessible, open-licensed repository of all project resources — teaching modules, case studies, audit data, trainer guides, and skills passport frameworks — designed to serve Nepal's wider community of practice long after the project closes. The repository will be hosted on infrastructure managed jointly by Tribhuvan University and Edinburgh Napier, ensuring continuity.
All project resources will be freely available on the open repository at project close. Register your interest to be notified on launch.
