The first module of the Digital Skills Toolkit is released for pilot testing, covering BIM fundamentals with Nepal-specific building typologies and case studies.

What's in Module 1

"Introduction to BIM in Nepal's Built Environment" covers core BIM concepts, software-agnostic worked examples, and a series of case studies drawn from local building typologies — from traditional Newari construction to contemporary reinforced concrete frame buildings.

Pilot Testing

The module is being piloted with second-year architecture students at Tribhuvan University's Institute of Engineering, with feedback informing revisions ahead of the Train-the-Trainer programme later this year.
